Jonny Coreson & Citi Ventures

Initial Scope

Design a new feature within the existing Worthi app, a dedicated “Brag Sheet” tab where users can track and showcase their professional accomplishments.

Project Evolution

Expand Brag Sheet into a standalone mobile application, designing the full user experience from onboarding to AI-powered report generation. This included creating a comprehensive design system and building a distinctive brand identity from the ground up.

Problem

Professionals often lack the tools and data they need to effectively advocate for themselves in career-defining moments like promotions, interviews, and salary negotiations. Traditional HR systems prioritize employer needs, leaving individuals without a clear record of their contributions or reliable benchmarks for fair compensation. As a result, many people struggle to prove their value and navigate career growth with confidence.

Solution

Brag Sheet empowers users to take control of their career growth by transforming everyday wins into professional leverage. Unlike traditional systems that serve employers, Brag Sheet is built for the individual—designed to help users track their accomplishments and turn them into impact-driven, AI-generated reports.

Achievement Journaling
Users can easily log wins and milestones as they happen, creating a consistent, organized record of their progress.

AI-Powered Formatting
Brag Sheet automatically converts those logs into clean, tailored reports that align with specific goals like promotions, job interviews, or salary negotiations.

Confidence for Career Conversations
With a data-backed narrative in hand, users can approach career conversations with clarity and confidence, ready to articulate their value and advocate for what they deserve

Research

Research Methods

Research Insights

  • Users feel lost in career conversations but gain confidence when they document their skills

  • Networking & direct employer connections are more effective than online applications & LinkedIn

  • Users find difficulty recounting their personal and professional achievements in an infrequent documentation setting

  • Portfolios and other non-traditional professional reports are becoming more useful for project-based career applications, like engineering, teaching, or visual arts

Journey Maps

To ensure Brag Sheet truly empowers diverse users in their professional self-advocacy, we meticulously mapped the distinct journeys of key personas: the Recent Grad, the Ambitious Professional seeking promotion, and the Individual Returning to Work. These journey maps were instrumental in our design process, allowing us to deeply understand their unique challenges and motivations. This insight enabled us to tailor Brag Sheet's features, from intuitive professional journaling to AI-driven reports, creating a targeted and supportive experience that guides each user effectively towards articulating their value and achieving their career goals.

Reflection

Working on Brag Sheet was a rewarding challenge that pushed me to adapt quickly and think strategically. What began as a small feature within an existing app evolved into a full-scale product with its own design system, visual identity, and end-to-end experience. Pivoting with a broader scope required constant communication, flexibility, and clear prioritization. It was a valuable lesson in product thinking and stakeholder collaboration.

Partnering with Citi Ventures and Jonny Coreson raised the bar for execution, with high expectations for user value and brand polish. Most importantly, this project reminded me why I love designing tools that empower people. Brag Sheet helps users show up more confidently in career conversations, armed with proof of their impact. Creating something that makes self-advocacy easier and more accessible felt deeply meaningful and that purpose drove every design decision I made.
